v2.3 — Neobrutalism (formerly RetroUI)

RetroUI is now Neobrutalism.com. Same packages and install paths, new brand and homepage.

  • Rebrand: RetroUI → Neobrutalism.com. The product is the design system; the old name still works if you land from it.
  • npm packages and registry paths are unchanged — existing installs keep working.
  • New homepage with a live component board and clearer product story (components, blocks, templates, Figma, MCP).
  • Polish across pricing, Figma, blocks, and templates pages.

v2.2 — React Aria, 20 languages & themes

Third primitive backend, full site in 20 languages, and the theme builder.

  • React Aria joins Radix UI and Base UI — three backends, one look. Pick per component at install.
  • Site and docs chrome in 20 languages, with RTL for Arabic and Hebrew.
  • Theme builder and shareable color presets.
  • MCP and multi-backend install paths improved.

v2.1 — Radix + Base UI side by side

Choose Radix or Base UI per component. More blocks, templates, and guides.

  • Radix UI and Base UI both ship for every component — same style, pick the primitive you want.
  • Larger blocks and templates catalog.
  • New guides on the blog (fonts, palettes, neobrutalism vs other styles, Tailwind v4).

v2.0.0 — Base UI, MCP & one platform

Base UI, MCP for AI editors, Pro + open-source on one site, 50+ new blocks.

  • Base UI support for all base components.
  • MCP server — add components by name from Claude Code, Cursor, and other AI editors.
  • Pro and open-source sites merged into one product.
  • 50+ new Pro blocks, new dev-tool template.
  • Docs: copy as markdown / open in AI chat.
  • Next.js 16 upgrade.
